1.The Characteristics of Die Coating

*A coating liquid can be coated on the film directly.
*The coating speed is faster than that of Roll Coating.
*The coating thickness can be maintained accurately in both the width
and length directions resulting in a very smooth film surface.
*Since back up rolls are not used and the coating liquid is applied
directly to the film, problems such a splattering are solved and higher
coating speed can be attained.

2.Mitsubishi's Die Coater characteristics

The Characteristics of Cemented Carbide Slot Die are;

*The edge parts are made of ultra micro grain cemented carbide.
*The use of cemented carbide improves the accuracy of the degree of
the straightness of the edge.
*The Slot Die maintains a sharp edge because of incorporation which have
a diameter of no more than 1μm. ( Edge parts do not occur a burr.)
*Due to the excellent processing technology, many different edge shapes
including curves of high precision can be produced.
*Edge processed lapping enables a stable coating surface that reduces
the uneveness of the application.

1)The degree of straightness on a slot side

--->0.002mm or below (overall length 1,100mm)
0.001mm or below (overall length 600mm)

2)The degree of finished surface roughness at the edge

A. R side edge ---> Ry (Rmax) 0.2S
B. Flat side edge--->Ry (Rmax) 0.1S

3)The swell of top side at the edge
